Default use balm
There's vampiricgurl who's given advice on this: use lipbalm. And dont forget to buy one which has a tickling feeling on the lips--it is the sign on cure

I usually get these problems too during the winter but once i apply the lipbalm,it's ok and my mom also advised to apply butter when going to bed to keep the lips smooth and the other day you can use ur lipstick!

hi...this is a common problem to many... u can use ruby's advice and lip balm...dnt just get any cheap one from around the corner shops... bt rather go to the drugstore n ask for a proper one, which suits yr lips.and remember one thing...u should nt use lip balms only when having dry or chapped lips.the use of lip balms should b continous and u should have it handy all the time, in yr pockets.and also, limit ur use of lipsticks, esp the matt types and avoid rubbing the lip baton to and fro on yr lips.... and drink lots of water....

Dry lips are a real problem and more in winter! But the thing you shouldn't do is to chew at them when you feel them dry...use the lipbalm continually even if they are not dry!

Yep girls, to prevent these usual problems make use of lip mask daily which contains miniature buffing beads that gently exfoliate dead surface skin cells that cause lips to appear dull and lifeless.

the solution has already been given in the previous postings- apply a lip balm.
but preferably use one containing unrefined shea butter. it works fast.
petroleum-based balms shud be particularly avoided.

Well your lips don't get enough moisture that's why it become dry!!
Apply cold cream or moisturizer or lip balm before applying lipstick.
This should solve your problem!
