my mom had been using natural dye to colour her whiter hair..... (henna based products) bt she lately swtiched to another one which isnt made out of natural stuffs... she says that the natural one faded very soon barely 2weeks n she wanted a longer lasting effect. her cousin told her to use this other one.... which seems to have a longer effect indeed.... bt im a bit skeptical abt this change..i mea, will this damage her hair???? coz she uses herbal shampoo all the time...

henna is very good to colour the hair, I like the colour and the tone and it's natural and does not cause any harm to the hair.

Henna is best for the hair..
My mom always apply it and her hair looks so natural..
I strongly advise you to stick to the natural and herbal..they're the healers!!
Maybe she can grind the henna leaves and make a paste and apply it on her hair...it's mom recipe here!!

Well we have all sorts of hair colouring products available on the market!!
I would suggest that she purchase one which doesn't contain ammonia though coz it can be harmful to the skin!!
Also look for some product that is recommended and well-known!!

She could try a natural hair dye...it's not exactly henna and will not fade off as easily as henna and i would advise her to go for the naturals...you may never know what could be the effects of the chemicals on your hair and it might not even be compatible with the henna...

use henna based dyes can suffer in the long run. some
people say that it can affect the eye and can also cause
head pain. can that ever be true coz i heard that natural
products do no have any side effects.does any of you know anything about this???????
my mon used to apply this henna based product but someone
told her that it is not good for the eyes and nowshe is scared.

Is she changing from natural from chemical ones..if yes then of course this will have long run effect ..it may cause severe dandruff or falling of hairs in great quantity...

Its true natural one fade quickly..

Well all chemical has by its own its negative side

She must chose the right product ..

But I think all dye are dermatologically tested..

Since she is in the habit of using natural dye, her skin has been used to it..and natural product is safe. Now this sudden change can or cannot be as well have a negative effects on her skin. it can causes scratches or the skin may adapt well to the productas well. So she must use to know the effects because there is both a possibility of yes and no that the product will suit her.

Not all henna based products are good and effective, before applying the henna, do make sure to try them first!
But i can't understand why do some people prefer henna than hair coloration at a beautician where they can have a vast variety of colors and that are more effective than henna?
