hey all... have you guys heard about the "locks of love" organisation? i heard about it only recently...and was very touched by it. so i thought it'd be nice to share it with you guys. this organisation makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to illnesses... they look for people who are willing to donate their hair, the minimum amount being 10inches i think.. it's for re-building the self-esteem of these kids so that they can face the world again...

this is great..now i just wish i had those 10 inches...but unfortunately my hair is not that long

Thats great..but lots of people are dying everyday...their hair could be of use to these children

Eww!!! That's disgusting!! There is a difference between the hair you cut when you are alive and when you're not. Your proposition is MORBID... Imagine a child with a white hair wig or his reaction when he/she'll know that what he has on his head actually comes from a dead person...

I often cut my hair, coz I like short hair, if only I could donate my hair to this organisation, I shall be glad.Coz it would serve for a good purpose.

yeah for sure i would donate hair, i work in a barber shop(which is also a beauty parlour), and i can get all the hair they need!!!
how do they actually take the hair, do we have to post them or they have people around the world that come and take it from you?!

I haven't heard of it but its a very interesting and supportive organisation, ready to help those children, if that organisation was in my state or city, i would have definitely donated my hair everytime they grow!
I would have love doing that!
