I have a friend who has just started using contact lenses..He never did previously but something strange happened! He kept having a running nose or like he has caught a bad allergy or something like that!!
It really scares me, i really was looking to buy a pair for myself!!
I was wondering if that's the contact lenses that's causing the allergy??

Hello. Well someone told me that too but since I don’t wear contact lenses, I don’t really know if its true at 100%. If your friend is facing continuous running nose which you think is the contact then for some days stop using it and see whether it continues or not. If yes then contact your optician . may be she is allergy to this trade mark contact. If you are planning of using a contact lenses then consult your optician first

Well i've never heard that running nose can be related to contact lenses!!
Maybe your friend had an eye infection or an eye problem and still put on his lenses..YOu should never do that..if you have an infection never put on your lenses!!
Also maybe some dust might enter his eyes and irritate it causing his nose to run..i always have a running nose when i cry, lol!!
He should remove and clean the lenses properly!!

I also have a running nose when i cry..that's because your eyes are linked to the nasal tube!!
Maybe he's having some infections and that could make his eyes water causing the running nose..i don't see any other option!!
He should follow the guide to clean his lenses properly!!

They've started to get more and more scary, those contact lenses and i seriously think i'm going to quit using them for my own safety!! contact lenses and running nose..contact lenses and infection and don't know what else!!
Why don;'t you stick to the glasses..seems like they're much more better..

Yes i've read about contact lenses causing a lot of problems to the eye like infections and cataracts!! So i prefer to stay away from them and keep on my glasses which are more safe and i don't risk any infection or eye disease wearing them!!
They're even very fashionable and i have 3 pairs of them of different colors!!

Contact lenses are not glasses...you should take extra care of them and clean them before you use them or put them on you know...
If you don't clean them properly...they can easily get protein to be deposited on the lenses and this can cause can infection and improve your chances of gaucoma and catarract!!
So if you don't do these things then wear your glasses and be happY!!!

Yes i'm really worried about an infecion...one of my friends developed an ulceration. This is a bacterial infection of the cornea, which is nearly always bacterial in origin. She usually had red, painful eye with discharge, and also poor or reduced vision. She needed to have surgery to get her problem treated and her eyesight got even worse...she's very affected by her problem now!!
