Ugh... this reminds me of a story back when I was in first grade and a girl in my class stuck gum in my hair! I cried because I was SURE they were going to cut it out... and then my teacer put peanut butter and brushed it in... and it came out!

And while I'm sure you don't care at all about my first grade adventures, try peanut butter! Works like a charm.

Use butter, peanut butter or oil to oil the place. Then comb it through using ur hand. Once the bubble gum goes off, wash ur hair with ordinary soap, then apply conditioner.

Put down the scissors!! lol.

Here are different things you can try.

Ice. hold it there until the gum feels hard then pull out what you can.

Any kind of oil...baby oil, canola oil, olive oil, peanut butter (it is the oil in it that makes it work)--it really doesn't matter, work that into your hair and out what you can.

First do the freeze thing with the ice and follow up with the oil . Use a fine tooth comb to get as much out as you can. If there is still some left, take a really warm shower use conditioner and try to comb it out in the shower.

use a hot oil treatment. You can get them at the drug store. Just follow manufacturers instructions. The reason I say last resort is only because it will cost some money and the other remedies are probably things you have in your kitchen or bath.

Be patient. Unless you have dred locks these tips should work for you!

Good luck!

WELL, I DID THAT WHEN I WAS A KID, AND DEPENDING ON JUST HOW MUCH YOU GOT IN THERE, TRY PEANUT BUTTER!!
I KNOW IT SOUNDS FUNNY BUT IT WORKED FOR ME.PUT ABOUT THE SAME AMOUNT OF PEANUT BUTTER AS YOU HAVE OF GUM, THEN WAIT FOR A LITTLE WHILE,TRY TO GET IT IN THERE REALLY GOOD. THEN WASH IT, AND IF IT'S NOT ALL OUT,TRY IT AGAIN WITH WET HAIR,IT SHOULD WORK!!GOODLUCK

You could spray the affected area with WD-40. It slides out and easy. Or, if you don't want to do that just slather a bunch of peanut butter on the gum and kind of rub it in. It's oily so the gum should come out easily, too. Just take a shower if you don't want to smell like a peanut.
