i Think Maybe You Facewash May Be Too Drying, And Thats Why Your Overproducing Oil...get Yourself A Good Oil Free Moisturiser, For Your Age Group Skin...and A Good Gentle Face Scrub That You Should Use Once A Wekk For The White Heads...a Facial Once A Month Would Be Beneficial Too..remember Dont Scrub Too Harsh

A translucent powder can minimize the shine on your face. Also choose foundations that are oil free.

different people have different skin types. I just so happy to have a shiny face too. if you wear make up, a good idea would be to use a non greasy or oil free formula cream, and a matte make up. after that, dap your face lightly with a cotton call or wipe it ever so gently on your face so that your face will not be so shiny, the cotton balls absorbs the excess shininess on youre face. when more in doubt, go to a skin specialist. if you still have problems, ask about a chemical peel, they help alot, peeling off the dead skin layer and revealing the new undercoat. its not dangerous. i hope that this helps.

I use the oil blotters made by Clean & Clear. They work really well. It may be your moisturizer causing the shine. I would try and not use it for a while. Just use a mild soap with moisturizer and see how that does. Ex.Dove

Have you ever heard of Noxema? It's a white cream in a blue tub for washing your face. If you put in on and leave it for a few minutes before washing it off, we find it really helps to cut the shine. A bit tingly too. What about putting moisturizer on only at night, and using the Noxema in the morning. I don't know what age you are, but do you really think you need the moisturizer during the day?

you are probably using soaps that dry out you skin... best to use, 'Simple' soap, a soap that has no perfumes or colours.

Cleanse straight away and then moisturise (some people tone before moisturising)
Source(s):

I had the same thing and been using perfume free soap,cleansing and moisturising every day twice a days for 10 years, my skin dont dry out as much as it used to after washin

Hey, you should be very happy to have a shiny tone, i've read so many threads where many girls are looking and trying all types of cleansers, creams only to get a shiny face! Is the neutrogena genlte cleanser and neutrogena moisturizer the secret for the shining skin?

But seriously . . . don't worry about it. Just apply some medical face gel recommended by a dermatologist.
Glad to know you have a shiny skin tone, that's good news, though.
