Did you know that some lipstick contain lead. Yes!!!!!!Lead. I’ve just read this news and I’m pretty concerned about it. The report says that the following lipsticks have got lead in them:

Christian Dior 4
LANCOME 2
CLINIQUE 2
Y.S.L 5
ESTEE LAUDER 3
SHISEIDO 2
RED EARTH (Lip Gloss) 2
CHANEL (Lip Conditioner) 2
Market America-Motives lipstick

If you want to test whether a lipstick has got lead then do this:
Put some lipstick on your hand, and then use a 24k-14k Gold ring to scratch on the lipstick. If the lipstick color changed to black color; it means this lipstick has Lead.

Thanks you told us about that. and I’d like to share the possible consequences of lead. It can lead to:
Headaches and irritability
Abdominal pain
Anemia
Kidney problems
Seizures, coma and death
Low birth weight, premature birth and miscarriage

So, please stop using these lipsticks that contain lead.

What do you mean by Lead, i can't understand!!
But why do they apply lead in the lipstick when they very well know about the about the facts and bad consequences???

Thank god you told me about it. I know lead is a very dangerous chemical; it is a chemical that kills. I hope the members of the forum read about this and get alarmed as soon as possible because most of the members use these brands.

It could be that there is lead in the lipstick but in very negligible quantities which cannot do any harm to the lips. They can be present in the form of impurities and one need not fear the lead. Like in our atmosphere there are millions of particles which are harmful but we do breathe in and stay in the polluted atmosphere.

How come that lead is used in lipstick? This is not true. Maybe someone has misled you. I’m thinking, what is the use of lead in lipstick. All the brands that you’ve mentioned are very popular ones and I find it hard to believe that they can be bad.

This is not something new. Everyone knows about it and has absolutely no reaction from the users. Lipstick is still being sold and people continue to use it. there is not a big deal about it.

This is too amazing. What kind of components these lips are made up of that it has traces of lead in it? This is too bad for those who use these brands. Even I’m among these ill-fated persons.

Are you dreaming how lipsticks can consist of lead? What is the purpose of lead in lipstick? There isn’t any because lead is a solid compound and it is a poison. I don’t think that manufacturers are going to use it.
