NEVER flat iron on wet or damp hair, no matter what someone tells you, but don't do it cause your hair will break!
Some friends have done the "twist hair around the iron" but the results look uneven to me, that sounds a little dangerous to me!

Really, I was never aware of such facts. Thanks you told me. I’ve escape further disaster. My brittle so that was a very nice tip to me. So, if ever my hair stylist wants to use flat iron then I’ll be able to stop her otherwise I’d been ignorant and let the hair stylist do whatever pleases her.

Of course it is better getting them done at a saloon than doing it by oneself. The flat iron was used long ago. I would be afraid to use any hot thing on my hair without the guidance of a professional. Instead of making my hair more beautiful I’ll end up in doing more damage to it.

Well, this is not true at all, you should know how to use the flat iron, i once asked this question to my hairdresser and he said that there is no problem using flat iron if you know how to use it. You should first make sure to well comb your hair before using the flat iron and then take section by section the required hair amount, try this method and you will never break your hair.

Once you’re totally dry, divide out a two-inch-wide panel of hair from the underneath layer beside your face if it’s easier for you, try clipping the top layers above this panel so they don’t fall while you’re ironing. Now douse the whole section with a heat protectant spray, count to ten to let the spray set, then grab the straightening iron and get ready to clamp.

I never use flat iron and I would strongly forbid people from using it. it is advisable to use solutions for straightening hairs rather using the flat iron. What are your opinion about that?

Okay Davina, I’ll bear I mind to your words.
Cool tip
I believe the hair should not be drenched in water otherwise damp hair is okay. Enlighten me about this.

Now what is the problem with flat iron; this apparatus has been in use since ages. I don’t find any fault in it. It must have been that you have misused the iron and ended in unwanted problem.

It depends on what products you use. If you use the correct products, you can flat iron your hair damp. I do it once a month and I’m very satisfied with the results! I do my usual shampoo then use a cream [forgot the name as its not a brand] leave it for the night and wash it the day after. Then I use the oil [in the package] and flat iron it even if it’s damp. It works wonders on my hair. My hair becomes so soft, so silky that I can’t help wondering why people insist on not using straighteners on damp hair.

I know the flat iron tends to make the hair frizzy or makes it too dry.
I have stopped using flat iron now and I let my hair to dry by itself.
