Is it true that the microwave can cause skin cancer?
I read about it in a magazine and I was too anxious because I have a restaurant where I use the microwave very often during the day. I want to clear my doubts. If microwave really causes skin cancer then what should I do. Help me!!!!

Microwave can be dangerous if you stay for long hours in front of the rays of light emitted by the microwave. The rays can provoke cancer but there very little chances for you to get skin cancer with microwave.

How silly, can the microwave ever be dangerous?
The existence of microwave dates from a long time and if causes cancer this news have been published and known to the public.
Someone is fooling you so that you do not buy the microwave.

I do know that the microwave emits dangerous rays but it can’t be that serous because it is a home appliance and dangerous things would have never been approved to be used in houses.

loads of research has been carried out relating to the issue between microwaves and the fear of them causing cancers.

however most studies are unable to give an answer to this question. while some did find a link between microwave and cancer, other studies denied this completely

so it's still a puzzle

From what I've read, it's completely safe. Just as long as the microwave isn't super old and is still working properly.

Here's a quote -

"Extensive research has provided no substantiated evidence that microwave exposure, at any level, either causes or promotes cancer."

From - ARPANSA - Radiation emissions from microwave ovens
