I want poker straight hair, but have heard straightening irons are damaging. Is this true?

Irons are damaging only if your hair is too dry.
If your hair roots are very sensitive then do not do poker straight hair.
Your natural hairstyle must be good enough.

You are right; sensitive hairs are the victim of irons. But one thing, all hairs are sensitive since the roots are not that strong so iron straightening should not be done under any circumstances.

Unless you use a superior heat protectant. My hair is midback, shiny and healthy with no split ends. I just dust the ends every few months only 1/8th inch is necessary as they aren't even split (I just do that to maintain). There's a product called Sabino moisture block that's amazing. if you look in my other thread you'll see they're offering samples. It protects hair and keeps it from reverting. It also looks silky, shiny and feels super soft. Just go to www.sabinohair.com
To get sample: click sabino in right corner
Click contact us under that
Then email or call
Info needed to get it: Name, address, request for sample. code: girlsguide to beauty (code is basically where you heard about it)

Hope that helps. I use flat irons and have no problems with them. Just don't turn them too high. You won't need to with this product.
