Hi everyone, well I'm on the market for a brand new flat iron. I have one that my boyfriend bought me 4 years ago exactly this MAY, its great! I love it, it heats up in 30 seconds and its exactly like it was when I first got it, It should be since it cost him $150. hehe. Anyways, but im tired of it, I want a new one. I've been looking into CHI and Sedu. I've heard great things about CHI, but the #1 complaint is that it breaks down kind of fast after a year. So in other words, great results, awful durability. IS this true? THe other one that I want is a Sedu, great reviews and no bad ones. But what do you guys think? My gut tells me to go for the Sedu, but I want a CHI! HELP!!!

hi there!

ahh, the eternal Sedu v/s Chi... well, how often do you use your flat iron? yes, i have indeed heard that Chi does not last long, specially if you use it often. but there still are people who swear by Chi for its effectiveness.
but if you want something that will last you like the great flat irons that your boyfriend gave you, then i'd advise Sedu

oh and i almost forgot, what kind of budget are you looking at?

i absolutely swear by Sedu. i just don't know what i'd do with my hair if it weren't for my Sedu flat iron. it has always straightened my hair up to my expectations plus the effect is pretty long lasting

The Sedu is good for travel since it can be used with 110v in the usa or 220v overseas.
